Welcome

We are here to serve the athletic community by reducing the prevalence of injury and improving performance through biomechanically sound movement application.

We will do this by educating you on principles that establish optimal technique and showing you how to implement analysis and correction in any movement.

The Athlete's Need for a Sports Biomechanics Understanding

Problem

Solution

Problem

  • 8.6 million sport/recreation related injuries per year (CDC, 2016)
  • Nearly half of all sport related injuries are due to overuse.
  • The vast majority of remaining injuries are due to sudden movement or impact.

Value

Solution

Problem

With proper biomechanical principles, muscle strength and endurance can be efficiently utilized without exacerbating the risk of injury leading to a reduced loss of playing time.

An awareness and correct change in mechanics can improve the outcome of a movement without increased strength or effort.

Solution

Solution

Solution

Teaching athletes simple mechanical principles and demonstrating them in movements that they are already familiar with will allow them to recognize errors in their execution and self correct.

This will also lead to more efficient coaching because athletes will be knowledgeable enough to understand suggested correction.

My Philosophy

The brain is the most effective 'muscle' in the body but it is often underutilized in sports. The more you understand what mechanisms cause the outcomes you are trying to achieve in your sport,  the greater advantage you have in a game setting.
